Community Engagement

Weaving in Community began with a small project for World Alzheimer's Day in a local coffee shop. What started as a single installation grew into collaborations with hospitals, breast cancer awareness events, and community organizations.

Through a partnership with Arts with A Purpose, the initiative expanded to include Girls Inc., Adult Day Care Centers, and Assisted Living Facilities. Upcoming projects include a crochet flower mural at Greenwood Public LIbrary.

To date I have taught weaving to over 300 people of all ages and engaged with many more through collaborative weaving initiatives.

Today, both my commissioned studio practice and community initiatives live under one name: Patty Fulton Studio - honoring both individual expression and collective experience.
